Sport in Scoil / Colaiste Eoin
Here in Scoil Eoin we deliver a wide range of sporting opportunities for students. We compete in leagues with other special schools in Dublin and around the country, with male and female teams in soccer, Gaelic Football and basketball.
Individual sports include orienteering, cross country running, swimming and Track & Field. We use facilities in our local area which allows our students to access swimming, tennis, badminton, kayaking, rowing, cycling and hiking.
We take pride in encouraging every student to reach their potential by taking part in activities that they enjoy. We believe in giving every student the same opportunity to compete, regardless of ability thus representing themselves and the school with pride.
Students have the opportunity to get selected for the Dublin and Ireland FAI Football for All teams. Each year we have male and female students represent Dublin in Croke Park for the GAA Football for All.
The school is closely linked with National Governing bodies to assist us in delivering programs such as Run-a-Marathon and the Daily Mile in conjunction with Athletics Ireland. We aim to give all students the skills and confidence to continue to participate in an active lifestyle long into the future.
